Cooking With Teagan: Chocolate Chip Cookies
We're getting ready for Christmas today with doing a little
holiday baking. Teagan made a batch of chocolate chip cookies which turned out
delicious although one tray of them were slightly over done to the point where
they are not burned but they were a tad crunchy. Today was one of our busy days
so it took us awhile to get this all done which is the reason for the outfit
changes because a couple of times we had to stop where we were to run out to
ballet and then later on Cub Scouts and by the time they were all baked it was
bed time.
Excitement at Violin
What a surprise we got when we pulled up to our violin
teachers house today and found most of her front yard turned into a gaping hole
and all kinds of really cool earth moving equipment sitting all around. While
we were waiting for our turn we got to sit in the sitting room and watch in
amazement as they placed a very large tube into the hole. Today during his
lesson Teagan actually obeyed his teacher and instead of the customary whining
and fidgeting got right down to business which was amazing due to all the excitement
going on in the front yard.

Cub Scouts: Field Trip to KTVO
Teagan and his Cub Scout troop had a field trip to the KTVO
news station here in Kirksville this evening. They got to be in the room with
the news anchors and sit there and watch as they broadcast the evening news in
Spanish. Then after the broadcast they got to talk with the news anchors and
got to ask them questions and see how the green screen works.

Flag Football: Game 5
It was too cold and wet today for our game to be outdoors so
we were inside today. Being indoors took a little getting used to because for
the first couple of plays everyone was trying to figure out which way they were
supposed to be going and what was considered out of bounds and all. But all in
all it was a good game today both Arowyn and Teagan got to have a turn being
the quarterback and getting to run with the ball, they didn't make it up the
field any but they both had fun trying.

Truman Wind Symphony
We made it out to see the Truman Wind Symphony concert
tonight. Arowyn & Teagan enjoyed the music and on schedule by the fourth
song Teagan was completely gone. It was an overall beautiful performance
though. And we especially enjoyed getting to see our dear friend Megan Hueber
play the piano in the last two pieces.

School at Work
I had a large amount of work that I needed to get done for
my company like updating my website and getting prepped for some jobs we have
coming up next month. So I was talking to Cham about how I could get the kids
school done with all I had to do and he suggested that I bring them to him at
work for a couple of hours so I could get some work done and they could still
get their school work done. When I dropped them off I couldn't help but feel
slightly anxious for him and afraid that they would be completely obnoxious
while he had them. When I picked them up he said it had went well once he
figured out that the kids sitting at the same table together was out of the
question. But once he assigned them different rooms to work in everything went
mostly smoothly.

Creature Feature: Turkey Tales
We made it to creature feature today and got to learn about
the history of wild turkeys in Missouri. The kids especially enjoyed making
their own turkey calls although they were having problems with the finer points
of actually making it work.
